Fashionably Late at The Liberty Hotel presents:
Cibeline Sariano
by Ian J. Larraga

It's been an exciting year for local designer Cibeline Sariano. With her boutique a long time staple of Davis Square in Somerville since 2002, Cibeline took the next step for her business by moving it to a new space on historic Charles St. in Boston's Beacon Hill last year. To celebrate the successful one year anniversary of her new boutique, Cibeline showcased her recent holiday collection at the Liberty Hotel's Fashionably Late venue. She didn't have to travel far as her boutique is less than three minutes walking distance from the hotel. As part of the anniversary celebration, the Liberty's Alibi Lounge became a pop-up sample sale boutique where guests happily bought her designs with deep discounts. Both the show and the sample sale were well received and all and all, a great success.

Cibeline has been designing for many years. A graduate from Syracuse University with a Bachelors' of Science degree in Fashion Design, Cibeline's post college work resume includes stints with designers Richard Tyler, Calvin Klein, Emmanuel Ungaro and Liz Claiborne. The work often meant traveling to New York, L.A., Hong Kong and Italy. Cibeline eventually settled here in New England to start her dream of becoming her own designer. Her clothing is made locally in Fall River, Massachusetts and her new boutique in Beacon Hill is an exciting and challenging new venture.

Cibeline's designs have been seen on a few celebrities, most notably Lisa Lampanelli who wore a Cibeline Sariano dress for the 2008 Grammy Awards. Andy Paige from TLC's "Make Me Look 10yrs Younger" also wears a Cibeline Sariano designed wardrobe during the show's 2009, January to April filming season.
