Venexiana Fall 2010 Collection
Designer Kati Stern started Venexiana as recently as 2003. Her look has always been glamorous, refined and elegant but with an edge. There were a few designs she created that were experimental, born more from the creative process than for practical use. Kati was also one of the few designers to commonly use fur in her early collections.
For the Fall of 2010, Kati Stern scaled back the edge from her designs and turned up the elegance and glamour to Hollywood Movie Star levels. I could easily see her gowns and dresses being worn to all the major red carpet events and parties. I loved the long black column dress with the sheer lace at the waistline. I was also fond of the small selection gold dresses. There was also less fur this season with only a few pieces sporting fur trim.
Kati Stern's designs for Venexiana has improved with each collection and this is her best work to date. Venexiana is definitely a label to look out for, especially during red carpet season.
