iMan Fashion Group presents:
Fashion Evolution Forever

by Ian L.

Stanley DeSarmes and Regine Lafond are the heads of the iMan Fashion Group and they love to produce big fashion shows here in Boston. One of their biggest shows to date was Fashion Evolution Forever; the third act in a three part production that began with Fashion Evolution Then in July and Fashion Evolution Now in August. Fashion Evolution Forever was timed perfectly to debut during Boston Fashion Week 2009.

The setting of the show was at the Joseph Joe Moakley Corthouse in the Boston's Seaport District not too far from the ICA. It's an interesting structure with large and curved, open spaces perfect photo shoots and other functions.

The show itself was divided into two segments. The first segment was a private jewelry show for VIP guests hosted by local favorite red carpet interviewer Omid Maxey and his entourage of glamorously dressed ladies named appropriately enough, the Glam Squad. The second segment was the main fashion show hosted by Althea Blackford of Style It Up.

Designers for the show included a mix of local and national talents with even one designer from Canada. Participating jewelry designers were Catalina De La Torre of Boston, Perpetual Anastasia Hayfron of Worcester, and Kendall V. Bretto (Chandler Jewelry) of Boston. The fashion designers were Jillian Gorsky of Boston, Avari Thomas of Worcester, Gretchen Lafond (madeMOIselle) of Boston, Stephanie Green (GreenHAUS) of Boston, Marie Luce of Tyngsboro, Ty Scott from NYC, David Chum (Selah D'or) of Cambridge, Delise'Ana from LA, and Cindy Renee Mathieu (Sodalicious) of Toronto.

Some of the most memorable works from the show were the jewelry pieces from Perpetual Hayfron, Catalina De La Torre and Chandler Jewelry, the amazing leather creations of Delise'Ana and the beautiful evening gowns from Marie Luce and Sodalicious. David Chum for Selah D'or is new to the scene but he's definitely one to watch.

With Fashion Evolution Then, Now and Forever concluded, there are no plans to repeat the shows next year. Instead, the iMan Fashion Group will produce their own 5 day fashion week of shows and events during Boston Fashion Week 2010. Plans for next year are still being developed so be sure to check up with iMan Fashion Group's website often to see the final program.
