Boldfacers presents: The Socialite Pop-Up
by Ian J Larraga

Once again, Lisa Pierpont and her Boldfacers team delight us with another innovative pop-up shop. This time the location was nothing less than center court at Copley Place where the crowds could, for one day only, shop from the racks of Boston's socialites and top designers.

Donating clothing to the Socialite Pop-Up were local designers Sara Campbell, Michael De Paulo, and Daniela Corte, and philanthropists Sukey Forbes Bingham, Sandy Edgerley, Lt.Gov. Kerry Healey, Linda Pizzuti Henry, Ruth Littlechild, Jeryl Oristaglio, First Lady Diane Patrick, Patty Ribakoff, Maggie Seelig and Penny Vinik. Each of the ladies donated gowns from their own closets or they gathered donated gowns from their organizations.

The were some amazing gowns at the pop-up that used to retail in the thousands but were only going for $200 or less. It was a great opportunity to purchase red carpet ready gowns at a unbelievably deep discounts. Of course proceeds from the sales of gowns and all clothing went to various charities determined by the donating philanthropists.

Attending the Socialite Pop-Up was designer Sara Campbell (who picked up a gown or two for herself), Sukey Forbs Bingham, Jeryl Oristaglio, Ruth Littlechild, and former Lt. Governor Kerry Healey.

Please visit Boldfacers for the latest events and pop-ups.
